Your situation
Does this sound like what happened?
These are some of the circumstances we can consider. You can still ask for an assessment if your experience is different.
- Rear-end collisions and accidents while stationary
- Collisions at junctions, roundabouts or traffic lights
- Unsafe lane changes, overtaking or emerging vehicles
- Multi-vehicle accidents or disputed responsibility
What we will talk through
We will ask about the vehicles involved, any insurer contact, your injuries and whether someone is already dealing with the vehicle damage.
Responsibility can be disputed
You do not need to resolve liability before contacting us. We can consider the available evidence and explain what further enquiries may be needed.
More than the vehicle damage
An assessment may consider the injury itself as well as treatment, travel, loss of earnings and other evidenced financial effects.
Injuries & losses
The effect on your everyday life matters.
Tell us about your symptoms, recovery and the practical changes since the accident. Depending on the evidence and legal route, a claim may consider the injury alongside related losses such as:
- Earnings lost while unable to work
- Reasonable treatment and appointment travel costs
- Vehicle-related losses not already recovered through insurance
- Help needed with day-to-day tasks because of the injury
These are possible categories, not guaranteed payments. The evidence, responsibility and applicable rules determine what can be recovered.
Useful evidence
Start with what you have.
You do not need a complete file before speaking to us. Keep original documents and recordings where possible. The following can help:
- 01
The other driver’s details and vehicle registration
- 02
Photographs, dashcam footage and witness details
- 03
Police or incident reference numbers, where applicable
- 04
Medical records and evidence of related expenses or lost earnings
Keep the details in one place.
Use the practical accident checklist to organise what you have and note what is missing.

Understand the route before you choose it.
Tell the firm what happened
Explain the incident, your injuries and any contact with insurers or other representatives.
Explore the available options
The team can consider the information, the possible route and what further enquiries may be needed.
Decide whether to proceed
If the firm can act, review the proposed next steps and funding terms before giving instructions.
The costs conversation
No Win, No Fee
May be available, subject to eligibility and terms. Ask about any potential costs, deductions and relevant insurance before choosing to proceed.

A little clarity before you decide.
The other driver disputes what happened. Can I still ask for advice?
Yes. Explain your recollection and let us know which parts are disputed. Photographs, footage, witnesses and vehicle positions may help establish what happened. A disagreement about responsibility does not prevent an initial assessment.
Do I need a solicitor for a whiplash claim?
Not always. Some adults injured as drivers or passengers in England and Wales can use Official Injury Claim themselves, free of charge. Eligibility depends on the accident and the claim. If you prefer legal help, ask about charges and any deductions before agreeing to proceed.
My insurer is already arranging repairs. Does that cover my injury?
Check what your insurer or representative has agreed to handle. Repairs and an injury claim may be dealt with separately. Tell us about existing correspondence, offers and any legal expenses cover so that overlapping work or duplicate claims can be avoided.
Ask about the deadline early
For many personal injury claims, court proceedings must usually be started within three years, but the correct deadline depends on the facts and exceptions can apply. Contacting us does not stop time running. Seek advice promptly rather than relying on a general deadline.
